Meet the Team
THOMAS J. MCALISTER CPA
Thomas J. McAlister has been a Certified Public accountant since 1979. Tom has extensive experience and knowledge in the accounting of and tax preparation for individuals and businesses.
Tom has extensive experience in auditing specifically. He has worked for the Colorado Department of Revenue as a field auditor, auditing Fortune 500 companies.
When hired by Coors as the tax manager he reduced their tax audit exposure by approximately four million USD and won a $45m Sales and Use Tax case against the State of Colorado.
Tom continued to serve as a tax and audit manager at Storage Tek Corporation. He reduced their annual income taxes by about $7m USD and won a $70m Sales and Use Tax case against the State of Connecticut.
Tom subsequently opened his own CPA firm with an emphasis in accounting, business management, taxation, and advisory management.
Tom has an extensive background working with federal, state, and municiple agencies and has conducted tax litigation when necessary.
KENNETH LUCHENE
Kenneth Luchene has over 30 years of business management and accounting experience. He has worked in the field of Operations Management and training for a number of Corporations.
Ken has owned his own businesses in the finance and insurance industries. He has extensive knowledge in the documentation required to achieve commercial and equity financing. He has a number of sources for hard money lending if needed.
Ken received his B.S. in Accounting degree from Colorado State University in the summer of 2018.
ISELA BROWN
Isela Brown has been working with small businesses in the construction industry for over 15 years. From managing the day-to-day operations to preparing monthly and year-end financial and payroll reports.
Isela received a business degree from Community College of Denver in 2012 and she is currently enrolled at Metropolitan State University towards obtaining her accounting degree.
Isela also holds and engineering degree and she is fluent in Spanish.
Isela has been working with QuickBooks software for several years and emphasizes the importance to accurately categorize transactions and reconcile accounts. That has been the foundation and the starting point for many of the business she has helped organize their books for the past 15 years.
